About JwBlake:
Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist James Blake, who goes by the stage name: JwBlake, is an engineer and creative of all things sound. Experimenting and expanding his craft through the creation of tracks in all different kinds of musical genre's JwBlake is honing his: production, mixing and mastering skills.
2024, see’s the creation of a new musical group for JwBlake “the renegades of funk”. Runners up of University of York's Battle of the Bands this Ska and Funk ensemble bring a fun loving, high energy and entertaining mix to the York musical scene bringing an original funky style of lyrically crafted Indie Rap and entertaining twists on out of the box cover songs.
JwBlake hopes to be able to shine a light on the use of technology in live performance as well as providing entertaining and high energy showcases of his music.
